About the role
Responsibilities
- Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all team members
- Align, position, and fit components into fixtures as instructed
- Set up gas-shielded MIG welder and weld parts to specifications
- Read blueprints and welding symbols to complete tasks
- Use hand tools, clamps, and grinders to perform job duties
- Conduct basic maintenance on welding equipment
- Monitor and adjust robotic welder to ensure quality throughout the run
- Maintain 5S standards and adhere to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrated skill level in wire feed (M.I.G.) welding
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
- Proficiency with a tape measure and mathematical skills
- Ability to use an oxygen/acetylene cutting torch
- Ability to lift up to 33 pounds and perform tasks at a standard production rate
