Welder

Responsibilities

• Safely fabricate and assemble metal components using manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
• Operate welding processes including gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, and submerged arc welding
• Prepare and align materials by clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, grinding, or bolting component parts
• Finish workpieces by removing rough spots, excess weld, slag, or spatter using grinders, files, scrapers, or arc-cutting equipment
• Perform welding in multiple positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead
• Comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards and guidelines

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional welding experience
• Ability to operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions
• Knowledge of gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, and submerged arc welding processes
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
