Welder

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment using processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc welding
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts
• Remove rough spots, excess weld, slag, or spatter using portable grinders, hand files, scrapers, or arc-cutting equipment
• Feather or remove tacks using electric or pneumatic grinders prior to welding beading passes
• Comply with all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ years of experience in welding
• Ability to weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• Proficiency with manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
