About the role
Responsibilities
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment using processes such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc welding
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts
- Remove rough spots, excess weld, slag, or spatter using portable grinders, hand files, scrapers, or arc-cutting equipment
- Feather or remove tacks using electric or pneumatic grinders prior to welding beading passes
- Comply with all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ years of experience in welding
- Ability to weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Proficiency with manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
