About the role
Responsibilities
- Carry out welding, fabrication, and repairs on heavy machinery and port equipment
- Monitor and replace worn attachments and components
- Provide technical input to improve component quality and longevity
- Maintain a safe work environment and report incidents promptly
Requirements
- Relevant NZQA Level 4 trade qualification in Heavy Fabrication (or overseas equivalent)
- Proven experience working on heavy vehicles and machinery
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug test, ACC, and MOJ criminal history check
