Welder

Responsibilities

• Coordinate welder settings, gun speed, travel, and gas flow
• Read tape measures and blueprints to shop standards
• Adjust gun manipulation and perform repairs for pin holes or burn-through
• Train others in proper welding procedures
• Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment
• Maintain bead quality, shape, size, and penetration
• Maintain continuous improvement practices in the work area

Requirements

• Associates degree or equivalent technical training
• 1-3 years of welding experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
• Proficiency in general mathematics (fractions, percentages, etc.)
• Experience using power hand tools and driving a forklift
• Ability to use measuring devices like micrometers and protractors
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually
