About the role
Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom prototypes, jigs, and fixtures from supplied drawings and specifications
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment using MIG, ARC, and TIG processes
- Use metal shaping machines including brakes, shears, and bending machines
- Conduct technical inspections, repairs, modifications, and retrofits on metal products
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports regarding parts usage and completed tasks
- Adhere to all company safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations
Requirements
- Registered apprentice welder in Alberta
- Enrolled in a recognized trade school
- Valid GMAW and SMAW certifications in all positions
- Ability to work the Monday to Thursday nightshift (6:15 PM - 5:45 AM)
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Working towards Interprovincial Red Seal or CWB tickets
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
