Welder Apprentice 3rd

Responsibilities

• Fabricate custom prototypes, jigs, and fixtures from supplied drawings and specifications
• Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment using MIG, ARC, and TIG processes
• Use metal shaping machines including brakes, shears, and bending machines
• Conduct technical inspections, repairs, modifications, and retrofits on metal products
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports regarding parts usage and completed tasks
• Adhere to all company safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety regulations

Requirements

• Registered apprentice welder in Alberta
• Enrolled in a recognized trade school
• Valid GMAW and SMAW certifications in all positions
• Ability to work the Monday to Thursday nightshift (6:15 PM - 5:45 AM)
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Working towards Interprovincial Red Seal or CWB tickets
• Experience with routine maintenance operations
