Weld Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical support for all plant welding and assembly equipment
• Install, repair, and service machinery and equipment support systems
• Identify and troubleshoot production problems to minimize downtime
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance on production lines
• Support daily production by resetting faults and replacing sensors, cords, caps, and shunts
• Maintain automatic nut/stud feeders and ensure sealer/adhesive systems are working properly
• Comply with all safety policies, lockout procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Document system problems, solutions, and maintenance logs accurately

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing welding maintenance
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in industrial equipment electrical troubleshooting and installation
• Strong understanding of welding fundamentals and theory
• Experience with robot programming and troubleshooting (FANUC, ABB, MOTOMAN, NACHI, or KUKA)
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, resistance, and MIG welding equipment
• Ability to read and understand electrical components and schematics
• Basic machining skills and knowledge of safety lockout procedures
• Physical ability to lift at least 50lbs and work in environments with welding fumes
• Availability to work mandatory overtime, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays
