Weld Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform adequate welds while meeting specific quality requirements
• Read and follow process and work instructions to ensure production accuracy
• Check that all safety guards and devices are in place prior to startup
• Run assigned jobs at the required production rate
• Complete all necessary paperwork and track scrap production
• Ensure proper tagging and labeling of all produced parts
• Maintain 5S housekeeping standards in the assigned work area
• Report any safety issues immediately to management
• Communicate production issues with previous and next shift operators

Requirements

• Ability to perform in a high-paced manufacturing environment
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move items from 1 lb. to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 90% of the shift
• Ability to pass LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) training
• Ability to work in both cold and hot environments
• Must wear all required PPE at all times

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous welding or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
