Weld Coach

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of welding procedures and manage welding personnel
• Communicate with Plant Managers and Supervisors regarding employee performance and standards
• Assist with the training of new employees and those requiring certification upgrades
• Identify welding-related issues involving personnel, consumables, or equipment
• Ensure all personnel operate within established welding parameters and adhere to safety practices
• Fill in for Production Leads when necessary and perform welding or tack welding on production lines as needed
• Complete special projects across all production aspects in a timely manner

Requirements

• 3-5 years of recent experience in a welding environment
• Demonstrated ability to accurately read blueprints and use a tape measure
• Ability to pass Sabre's welder C certification
• Ability to certify for the use of overhead cranes and gantries
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively in English
• Capability to perform heavy physical work, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work long shifts in an open environment with exposure to extreme temperatures
