About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage daily scale house operations, including scheduling and workflow
- Maintain computerized records of material amounts, truck identities, and weigh certificates
- Issue sand, gravel, and scrap metal weight certificates in compliance with regulations
- Take orders and dispatch aggregate deliveries
- Maintain records of current license numbers and truck tare weights
- Coordinate with plant managers regarding yard personnel staffing during high volume periods
- Interact with County and State inspectors from the Department of Weight and Measure
- Verify customer account status and assist the credit department with record reconciliation
- Adhere to all CEMEX, MSHA, and OSHA safety rules and regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work various shifts, including weekends (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts)
- Ability to work in outdoor environments with exposure to extreme heat and cold
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with aggregate products and dispatching
- Proficiency with Apex, SAP, and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
- Bilingual skills (English-Spanish)
