Web Server Administrator

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain web server software such as Apache, Nginx, or IIS
• Perform regular updates and patching to ensure security and optimal performance
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and SLA compliance
• Implement security measures to protect web environments from threats and vulnerabilities
• Manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline server management tasks
• Ensure all operations comply with organizational policies and DISA standards
• Provide ticket-based support and collaborate with development teams for application deployments
• Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent issues outside regular business hours

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• 3+ years of related experience in web server administration
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Level II 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Strong understanding of network protocols, DNS, SSL/TLS, and web security practices
• Experience with database management systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
