Web Press Operator I

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and weekly press start-up procedures, including maintenance and safety checks
• Execute machine operations including print unit, numbering unit, process unit, and delivery unit setup
• Conduct thorough quality inspections before, during, and after the printing process
• Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of the press and surrounding work area
• Coordinate with internal agencies to ensure required materials like ink, plates, and paper are available
• Perform end-of-shift cleanup and shutdown procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to identify colors and printing imperfections
• High level of mechanical reasoning
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs on occasion
• Excellent work habits and a willingness to be a team player

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of offset or web printing experience
• Proven track record in waste reduction and profit improvement
