Web Content Writer

Responsibilities

• Produce, maintain, and optimize content across all university web and digital properties to support enrollment marketing
• Gather information from subject matter experts to develop and write copy for web pages and blogs regarding academic programs, research, and campus life
• Utilize SEO techniques to ensure content is easily discoverable via search engines
• Research and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational standards
• Collaborate with departmental and cross-functional peers to resolve content issues and ensure a cohesive brand voice

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in writing and editing content specifically for websites
• Proven experience with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) writing
• Knowledge of UX writing principles and web accessibility standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
• Experience in higher education website writing
