About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, monitoring, and follow-up of approved Weapon Contamination (WeC) activities in the field.
  • Collect, compile, and maintain accurate WeC-related information and contribute to the incident database.
  • Conduct assessments and analysis of the security, socio-economic, and political environment relevant to WeC activities.
  • Support capacity-building activities for national authorities and National Societies through training and mentoring.
  • Contribute to written reporting, including field trip reports, activity reports, and casualty reports.
  • Maintain working-level contacts with local authorities and community representatives to facilitate access and information exchange.
  • Monitor and report on contextual changes and trends that may impact ICRC operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences.
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in humanitarian field work, community engagement, or protection-related activities.
  • 2 years of experience in Humanitarian Mine Action.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Lebanon.
  • Native proficiency in Arabic and full professional working proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in result-based management cycles and context analysis.
  • Experience in community outreach and capacity building.
  • Basic knowledge of WeC CBRN policies, conventional weapons guidelines, and RASB methodology.

Benefits

  • Monthly salary package between 2,120 – 3,095 USD.
  • Transportation allowance of $13 per day.
  • 13th-month salary paid in December.

  • Annual leave of 20 calendar working days.
