Wealth Associate

Responsibilities

• Support the Market Lead and Relationship Managers with portfolio analysis and business development strategies.
• Provide high-quality client service by responding to inquiries and preparing financial reports and recommendations.
• Assist in business development activities, including prospecting, pipeline management via Salesforce, and executing marketing programs.
• Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory guidelines, including AML, KYC, and privacy policies to minimize risk.
• Participate in the Wealth Associate Advancement Program (WAAP) to develop technical skills and achieve professional milestones.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) certification.
• CIM accreditation or currently in the process of attaining it.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of the CFA or CFP programs.
• Knowledge of Insurance (LLQP).
• Previous industry experience or investment management knowledge.
• Working knowledge of Scotiabank partner products and services.
