About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support the Market Lead and Relationship Managers with the analysis of a book of business and the development of growth strategies.
  • Respond to client inquiries and servicing needs in a timely, professional, and approachable manner.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present reports, proposals, and meeting materials to clients in collaboration with senior team members.
  • Assist with business development activities, including prospecting, pipeline management in Salesforce, and executing marketing programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Client (KYC), and privacy policies.
  • Participate in the Wealth Associate Advancement Program (WAAP) to complete technical training and achieve professional milestones.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) certification.
  • CIM accreditation or currently in the process of attaining CIM accreditation.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to balance multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enrollment in or completion of the CFA program.
  • Strong knowledge of, or enrollment in, Financial Planning (CFP) or Insurance (LLQP) programs.
  • Previous industry experience or knowledge of investment management.
  • Working knowledge of Scotiabank products and services.
