About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level estate planning consultations to high-net-worth (HNW) clients and prospects.
- Partner with Scotia Wealth Management advisors to conduct discovery meetings and review Wills, Powers of Attorney, and overall financial plans.
- Produce written reports highlighting needs-based estate planning strategies and identifying wealth opportunities such as insurance or business succession.
- Support business development by promoting estate planning services and referring complex cases to Estate & Trust Consultants.
- Act as a technical expert to assist in client and advisor education seminars.
- Maintain risk management standards by ensuring all actions align with bank policies, compliance, and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in estate planning.
- In-depth experience working with high-net-worth (HNW) clients and their professional advisors.
- Technical proficiency in wealth and estate planning strategies, including insurance, tax, family law, and charity law.
- Strong knowledge of business succession planning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional legal background (Lawyer preferred).
