About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide investment advice and develop financial planning strategies to help clients achieve long-term goals
- Act as a concierge during the client onboarding process to ensure high satisfaction and retention
- Proactively contact existing clients and prospects to educate them on products, services, and investment strategies
- Utilize financial planning software to prepare comprehensive client plans and proposals
- Manage an assigned client base within a team-based model to increase client penetration and sales
- Liaise with internal portfolio services, operations, and client services teams to execute relationship strategies
Requirements
- University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry
- Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- Licensed as a Registered Representative (RR) with the ability to sell both mutual funds and securities
- Must meet CIRO proficiency requirements
- In-depth understanding of capital markets, investment products, and product structures
- Exceptional communication, listening, and relationship management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CFP (Certified Financial Planner) or PFP (Personal Financial Planner) designation
- Working towards CIM or CFA (Level 1)
- Bilingualism in English and French
