WatHab Generalist Project Officer

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement engineering projects related to water and habitat assistance
• Draw up technical documents including drawings, bills of quantities, and contracts
• Supervise contractors on project sites and conduct quality control of installed infrastructure
• Manage project purchasing for labor and materials in accordance with financial rules
• Prepare implementation and progress reports and maintain electronic project databases
• Provide regular updates on security, stakeholder issues, and site progress
• Train end-users in the operation and maintenance of installed infrastructure
• Conduct assessments and surveys to help identify community needs

Requirements

• Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
• University degree in engineering (civil, structural, hydrological, electrical, mechanical, etc.) or water resource management
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a related field
• Fluency in both English and Ukrainian (spoken, written, and listening)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Strong knowledge of water, sanitation, construction, and electro-mechanical engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Epanet, WaterCAD, or similar hydraulic/mechanical calculation software
• Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, or the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement
