About the role
Responsibilities
- Define WatHab in Detention program objectives by monitoring needs and aligning with delegation goals and detention strategies
- Design programs and establish priorities in collaboration with stakeholders using a participatory approach
- Prepare technical documentation including drawings, bills of quantities, and contracts
- Oversee project implementation to ensure compliance with ICRC standards and local building codes
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to staff to enhance their architectural and engineering skills
- Conduct quality control during design and construction phases of infrastructure
- Manage tendering processes and procurement of materials and services in compliance with financial regulations
- Conduct needs assessments and surveys to inform project planning
- Organize training for end-users on the operation and maintenance of installed infrastructure
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- 10 years of professional experience in architectural design and project management
- Proven experience in humanitarian response and capacity building programs with local authorities
- Native fluency in Arabic
- Full professional working proficiency in English
