Water/Wastewater Modeller

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a range of hydraulic modelling services to clients across the UK, Ireland, and France
• Provide technical and expert advice to clients and manage project delivery
• Support business development, including contributions to tenders and proposals
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative services
• Participate in industry events and seminars to showcase technical capability

Requirements

• BSc/Eng or MSc/Eng in Civil, Water, or Environmental Engineering
• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Professional qualification with CIWEM or similar (obtained or near completion)
• Demonstrable experience in the UK Water Sector (client, contractor, or consultancy)
• Knowledge of UK regulator requirements and technical standards
• Experience with 1D and 2D hydraulic models (developing, verifying, and calibrating)
• Proficiency with industry software such as InfoWorks ICM, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, MIKE, Delft3D, or SIMCAT
• Right to work in the UK

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Ruby)
• Experience with integrated models (network/open channel/surface)
• Understanding of hydrological assessment and analysis
• Interest in water quality models (physio-chemical, biological, etc.)
