Water Treatment Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and reservoirs in the Epernay area.
• Perform routine technical interventions including cleaning, adjustments, and verifying treatment process functionality.
• Conduct first-level preventive and curative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps, valves, and sensors.
• Monitor regulatory self-surveillance, perform metrology on process equipment, and update operational data in dedicated tools.
• Manage reagent stocks, oversee the disposal of by-products, and supervise external subcontractors.
• Ensure strict compliance with QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) rules and maintain site cleanliness using 5S methods.
• Participate in the sector's on-call rotation schedule.

Requirements

• Educational background such as BTS GEMEAU, Water Trades, GASTE, or a BTS/Licence in Maintenance or Electromechanics.
• Proven experience in the operation of drinking water or sanitation installations.
• Valid driving license (Permis B) is mandatory.
• Proficiency with IT tools and digital operational software.
• Strong sense of rigor, autonomy, and critical thinking.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to organize priorities.
