About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a crew in the operation of a water treatment plant to ensure water is stable, potable, and compliant with regulatory standards
- Monitor chemical feeding and mixing mechanisms to ensure correct operation
- Collect and analyze water samples and log data from SCADA systems
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on pumps and related equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 12 months of hands-on experience in water or wastewater treatment operations, maintenance, or laboratory work
- Ohio EPA Water Supply I certification (must be held at the time of appointment)
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with industrial pre-treatment or sludge handling
- Previous experience in plant laboratory work or troubleshooting plant operations
