Water Technician

Responsibilities

• Install and service flow, level, and logging equipment within wastewater and stormwater networks
• Work in diverse environments including manholes, pipes, instrument cabinets, and treatment plants
• Perform site-based maintenance and monitoring activities, including occasional night shifts
• Check and validate monitoring data to ensure accuracy and performance
• Analyse data trends and report findings to engineers, scientists, and managers
• Contribute to real-time monitoring programs that support infrastructure upgrades and environmental compliance

Requirements

• Physically fit and able to pass a full medical test
• Full NZ driver’s licence
• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
• Willingness to work in confined spaces (e.g., manholes)
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including night shifts
• Experience in plumbing, drainlaying, construction, or general contracting is a plus but not essential
