About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of a complex 24/7 Water Reclamation Facility
- Monitor and operate primary, secondary, tertiary, and disinfection treatment systems
- Conduct routine sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure operational compliance
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
- Serve as crew leader in the absence of the Wastewater Treatment Supervisor
- Document plant conditions and utilize computerized systems including SCADA, CMMS, and Hach WIMS
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures and training new staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of hands-on experience in water reclamation facility operations or maintenance
- Ohio EPA Water Reclamation Operator Class I certification (must be obtained at time of appointment)
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Ability to obtain Ohio EPA Water Reclamation Operator Class II certification within 24 months
