About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain own and others health and safety
  • Carry out safety checks and inspections to vehicles, plant, equipment and sites
  • Follow health and hygiene rules
  • Ensure work is undertaken with due regard to the environment and prevent contamination
  • Excavate holes using safe digging methods to avoid damage to underground utility apparatus
  • Manhandle materials, plant and equipment
  • Install pipes and fittings to appropriate standards
  • Drive Company vehicles and operate mobile plant for authorised business purposes
  • Install and maintain road works to ‘Chapter 8’ standard
  • Maintain safety, environmental and quality records
  • Report any accidents, near misses, faults, damages or defects

Requirements

  • Water Safety ‘Passport’ (EUSR)
