About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain own and others health and safety
- Carry out safety checks and inspections to vehicles, plant, equipment and sites
- Follow health and hygiene rules
- Ensure work is undertaken with due regard to the environment and prevent contamination
- Excavate holes using safe digging methods to avoid damage to underground utility apparatus
- Manhandle materials, plant and equipment
- Install pipes and fittings to appropriate standards
- Drive Company vehicles and operate mobile plant for authorised business purposes
- Install and maintain road works to ‘Chapter 8’ standard
- Maintain safety, environmental and quality records
- Report any accidents, near misses, faults, damages or defects
Requirements
