Water Jet Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate water jet machinery according to specific job requirements and specifications
• Load and unload materials onto the water jet machine and prepare materials for cutting
• Monitor water jet gauges during every process run to ensure accuracy
• Inspect finished parts for flaws and take necessary corrective actions
• Maintain quality process documentation and record daily labor time
• Perform machine setups and clean the work area and equipment regularly
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• Communicate production information effectively to supervisors and incoming shifts

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Proven experience working with water jets, jigs, and shears
• Basic computer skills and ability to use labor tracking systems
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work in a non-AC environment with exposure to heat, noise, and wet areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
