About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop project documents including drawings, bills of quantities, and contracts in compliance with ICRC standards and local regulations
- Monitor on-site work, supervise contractors, and ensure quality control through regular inspections
- Gather and analyze technical information to support effective project planning and execution
- Participate in needs assessments, design, and documentation for construction and rehabilitation projects
- Collaborate with the Logistics Unit to create tender documents, specifications, and manage efficient payment processes
- Guide contractors on-site and provide training to end-users on infrastructure operation and maintenance
- Maintain electronic project files and provide regular progress reports to management
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Environmental, Mechanical, or related discipline)
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Water and Habitat (WatHab) activities
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and similar design/drafting software
- Fluency in both English and Ukrainian (written and spoken)
- Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit
- Strong understanding of core engineering and construction principles
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a diverse, multi-cultural team
