Waste Processing Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee retail and consolidation operations of hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal wastes
• Supervise segregation, consolidation, and packaging of waste materials for storage
• Manage and train a team of technicians, including scheduling and performance feedback
• Maintain operational documentation, reports, licenses, and procedures
• Coordinate with shipping/receiving and corporate teams regarding waste shipments
• Support compliance with all federal, state, and local permit requirements
• Manage facility purchasing, including purchase orders and invoice review
• Follow all Health & Safety and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures
• Supervise the use of fork trucks and heavy equipment for material movement
• Act as Alternate Emergency Coordinator and perform contingency plan procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience with packaging, transporting, or storing hazardous waste
• Knowledge of RCRA and DOT Regulations
• 40-hour HAZWOPER course completion
• Supervisory or team leadership experience
• Ability to operate a powered industrial truck (forklift)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment including respirators and Tyvek coveralls
• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or an environmental field preferred
