Waste Management Specialist

Responsibilities

• Direct the operational activities of the designated Eastern Hungary region and propose efficiency improvements.
• Inspect institutional subcontractor sites based on annual plans to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Monitor the technical condition of waste management facilities, maintain records, and follow development trends.
• Provide professional support for contract maintenance, including negotiations on capacities, fees, and terms.
• Verify waste quality specifications at facilities and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal quality systems.
• Coordinate the correction of identified discrepancies and deficiencies.
• Maintain effective communication between the central office and regional partners.
• Track KPIs and prepare regular or ad hoc reports.
• Analyze and resolve problems, complaints, and claims regarding recovered materials.
• Manage emergency situations in cooperation with regional subcontractors and internal teams.

Requirements

• Higher or secondary education degree.
• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in waste management.
• Knowledge of waste management, environmental regulations, or commercial processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Category B driver's license (required for regional field work).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset with a sense of responsibility and change management approach.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in field management.
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Intermediate level of English language skills.
