About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch
- Enforce safe systems of work and ensure all employees use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Manage warehouse employees involved in shipping, receiving, inventory, and distribution
- Ensure resources and personnel are allocated effectively to meet operational demand
- Monitor operational efficiency, accuracy, and maintain precise data entry for incoming and outgoing materials
- Investigate safety and environmental incidents and implement necessary countermeasures
- Develop and communicate recommendations for improvements to plant, equipment, and working practices
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience and/or relevant leadership qualifications
- Educated to Secondary or High School standard
- Mandatory Fork Lift Truck certification
- Advanced PC skills for data entry and operational monitoring
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and negotiating skills
- Ability to analyze data and drive continuous improvement
