About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all warehouse activities including receipt, inspection, quality control, order picking, storage, and shipping of merchandise.
  • Control merchandise from receipt to shipment, ensuring accountability for distribution and initiating corrective actions for control deficiencies.
  • Manage warehouse space utilization to maximize storage capacity and workflow efficiency.
  • Oversee the safe operation and maintenance of the fleet vehicle program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and DOD regulations.
  • Plan, schedule, and arrange necessary equipment and personnel to meet operational needs.
  • Supervise and evaluate associate performance, including recommendations for selection, reassignment, and promotion.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, security, fire prevention, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Coordinate training for personnel, specifically regarding safety and HAZMAT operations.
  • Conduct warehouse inventories and prepare statistical reports to evaluate warehouse effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in administrative, professional, or responsible work related to physical distribution support (warehousing, inventory control, traffic, etc.).
  • One year of progressively responsible experience in distribution and warehouse management systems, material handling, or storage activities.
  • Proven supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Knowledge of material handling practices, inventory control, and safety/HAZMAT operations.
  • Ability to manage personnel and fleet vehicle operations.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a motor vehicle check.
  • Must be able to receive Hazardous Material (HazMat) training within 90 days of hire.
