About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and control activities related to truck loading/unloading, receiving, pallet preparation, and inventory control
- Ensure employee health and safety by executing workplace safety programs and maintaining a secure environment
- Apply company policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with collective agreements
- Empower employees to meet established goals regarding quality, productivity, and cost reduction
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and propose solutions using management system methodologies to hit KPIs
- Coordinate warehouse operations and support activities for other departments
Requirements
- Proven experience managing warehouse operations in a high-volume environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (asset)
- Experience managing employees in a unionized environment (asset)
- Bilingualism (English) is an asset
