Warehouse Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shipping and receiving operations for the Logistics and Materials department
• Oversee material handlers to ensure proper issuing of materials, stocking, and inventory record accuracy
• Coordinate and complete all export shipment documentation in compliance with agency rules and regulations
• Monitor government compliance communications and assist in developing company policies
• Maintain inventory accuracy regarding usage, on-hand quantities, location, and identification
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, including proper lifting, stacking, and packing techniques
• Conduct cycle counts and verify the identity of outgoing items against sales orders
• Communicate with Quality Control to ensure acceptability standards and inspections are met

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in a warehousing or shipping/receiving environment
• Proven experience in a Lead or Supervisory role
• Direct experience with major carrier online systems
• Computer literacy and ability to manage computerized inventory records
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with export/import regulations and documentation (NAFTA, DOC, DOS, AES)
• Proficiency with UPS World Ship or FEDX Ship Manager
• Experience with SyteLine ERP systems
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Current DOT Hazardous Shipper and IATA certifications
