Warehouse Specialist Ammo

Responsibilities

• Issue, store, inventory, and perform location maintenance for ammunition and residue
• Ensure all stored ammunition items are sealed to prevent pilferage
• Conduct 100% location surveys and 100% inventories
• Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulatory guidance for ammunition receipt, storage, and disposition
• Maintain and update magazine data cards, ammunition store slips, and storage plan-o-graphs
• Load and offload vehicles and operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) up to 10K
• Perform general housekeeping and maintenance inside and outside the Ammunition Storage Point (ASP)
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs
• Mentor and assist with on-the-job training and cross-training

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of warehouse experience, preferably with ammunition or hazardous materials
• Proven ammunition handling experience (military or civilian equivalent)
• Must have or be able to pass DOD Ammo-45 (Introduction to Ammunition) training
• Must have or be able to pass DOD Ammo-67 (Hazmat General Awareness) training
• Ability to obtain and maintain MHE licenses/certifications
• Valid and current state driver's license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without accommodation
• Ability to work in various outdoor climatic conditions and strenuous environments
