Warehouse Shift Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise inbound receipts, put-away, material handling, picking, and dispatch activities to ensure smooth material flow.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, and Logistics teams to meet daily shift targets and on-time dispatch requirements.
• Maintain high operational discipline regarding shift handovers, documentation, and system transactions in SAP/WMS.
• Monitor daily stock movement, support cycle counting, and investigate inventory discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
• Enforce EHS standards, ensure safe material handling, and maintain warehouse housekeeping and 5S adherence.
• Lead and allocate work among operators, forklift drivers, and helpers, including conducting shift briefings and training.
• Identify process bottlenecks and support continuous improvement initiatives for layout optimization and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in warehouse and distribution within a manufacturing environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the legal requirements for operating a warehouse.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and delegate to a large team.
• Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SAP modules (MM, PP, and SD).
• MBA from a recognized university.
• Understanding of Basic Quality Tools and EHS/QMS systems.
• Familiarity with FEMA, PPAP, and APQP.
