Warehouse Shift Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage team attendance, performance, productivity, and accuracy levels
• Coordinate and motivate the warehouse operation to ensure effective performance
• Drive continuous improvement within the warehouse as part of the senior operations team
• Manage shift manning and labour to achieve workloads in a time-sensitive environment
• Achieve operational KPIs and control labour costs
• Maintain knowledge of returns, inventory control, co-pack, and delivery schedules
• Promote Health & Safety procedures and MHE accountability
• Manage employee performance, disciplinary matters, and sickness/absence

Requirements

• Previous warehouse operational experience
• Experience managing, supporting, and motivating a large team
• Proven experience in people management (probationary, attendance, performance, and disciplinary)
• Ability to prioritize a tight and challenging workload
• Knowledge of safe working practices and Health & Safety elements
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft packages and WMS
• 3PL experience is highly advantageous
