Warehouse Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Drive employee engagement, safety training, and program support at the Distribution Center.
• Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert for powered industrial truck operations, warehousing, and pedestrian safety programs.
• Assist site leaders with incident investigations related to high-risk pedestrian and powered-industrial-truck activity.
• Conduct annual internal audits to identify gaps in company safety standards.
• Develop strong partnerships with Operations and Retail business units to drive safety ownership.
• Implement Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS) procedures and best practices.
• Monitor changing regulations and internal EHS performance to update policies as required.
• Support warehouse safety capital projects and share best practices across the Global EHS department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Detailed understanding of EHS regulatory requirements.
• Experience deploying automated reporting systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASP or CSP certification.
