Warehouse Operative

Responsibilities

• Support core warehouse operations including unloading, receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
• Safely unload and check inbound deliveries against documentation and perform quality checks
• Manage incoming returns and process them correctly within the system
• Release orders and prepare them for picking across various warehouse areas
• Manage stock moves, extractions, and specialty storage for items such as hazardous materials
• Operate mechanical handling equipment safely and report any defects or hazards
• Use IT and data to investigate inventory issues and maintain stock accuracy
• Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Safety-conscious mindset with ownership of workplace safety
• Proven ability to meet operational targets and deadlines under pressure
• Fluent in English
• Valid UK driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift licences (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, High-Level Order Picker, or similar)
• Experience with Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners
