Warehouse Operative

Responsibilities

• Perform pick and pack activities accurately
• Load and unload trailers and containers
• Use and maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Interact with drivers and customers to handle problems and report concerns
• Advocate for all company health and safety policies and accident processes
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment
• Contribute ideas to reduce warehouse costs and increase productivity
• Participate in quality improvement efforts

Requirements

• At least 1 year of warehouse experience
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods and perform lifting tasks
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, including managing daily emails
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities and meet daily deadlines
• Versatility and flexibility to work within changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Counterbalance or VNA certification (ideally within the last 3 years)
• Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods
• Experience with the AS400 system
