Warehouse Operations Manager I

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure efficient and cost-effective warehouse operations.
• Direct the daily activities of warehouse supervisors and personnel to meet shipping and receiving goals.
• Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage labor requirements by analyzing workload, sales forecasts, and historical data.
• Conduct employee development through coaching, performance appraisals, and talent selection.
• Ensure facility compliance with OSHA, FDA, and other regulatory standards through safety audits and sanitation schedules.
• Monitor equipment utilization and coordinate maintenance with local vendors.
• Analyze productivity and labor reports to identify and bridge performance gaps.

Requirements

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); experience with Manhattan is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, and FDA regulations.
• Ability to stand and walk for 10-12 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
• Experience with seasonal workforces.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tools and process improvement methodologies.
