Warehouse Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the Shipping Department to ensure all jobs are completed safely, correctly, and with a focus on quality and compliance
• Plan shipping orders, including wave and transportation planning, with special handling for key accounts and exports
• Perform routine shipment audits to maintain integrity, housekeeping, security, and quality of all outbound shipments
• Oversee truck check-ins and check-outs at docking locations and ensure shipments are marked for proper destinations
• Organize and maintain all areas within the Shipping department
• Support the development of direct reports through coaching, training initiatives, and productivity tracking

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 to 4 years of warehouse management experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Advanced knowledge of specialized shipping, including Hazardous Materials
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs and stand for the duration of a shift
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adjust to a rapidly changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LMS, TM, UPS, or FedEx shipping systems
• Experience with DG (Dangerous Goods) shipping systems
