Warehouse Lead

Responsibilities

• Direct shift operations for warehouse teams, overseeing the movement of raw materials and finished goods.
• Ensure people safety is a top priority by setting an example and holding team members accountable to a safety-first culture.
• Perform daily shift audits of inventory movements, allergen controls, and GMP compliance.
• Manage pre-shift planning, staffing, and communication of daily tasks and initiatives.
• Review work orders to ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures are strictly followed.
• Oversee the unloading of raw materials and finished goods and assign them to appropriate storage areas.
• Support inventory accuracy through DSI barcode transactions, empty location checks, and cycle counts.
• Ensure daily powered industrial truck (PIT) inspections are completed and report any necessary repairs.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in warehousing, distribution, and/or logistics.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entirety of an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to work in various manufacturing environments, including hot, humid, cold, or dusty conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT).
• Experience using warehouse management systems (scanners) and ERP systems (JDE preferred).
• 1+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
