Warehouse Director

Responsibilities

• Direct inbound and outbound warehouse operations, including product receiving, replenishment, and order selection
• Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, development, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
• Oversee labor hours, consumable supplies, and budgets to ensure efficient operations
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies such as OSHA, FDA, and USDA
• Coordinate with the Safety department to conduct training, accident investigations, and routine safety inspections
• Maintain high standards for food safety, including HACCP and catch-weight documentation
• Develop and manage relationships with third-party vendors and transport providers
• Evaluate operational metrics and implement cost-reduction measures and efficiency improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
• 7 years of related warehouse management or operations experience
• Proficiency in computer systems, including spreadsheet and word processing software
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Must obtain a Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months of hire
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and work in various temperature conditions (wet, hot, extreme cold)
