Warehouse Checker

Responsibilities

• Verify that orders have been selected accurately using sheets from the Sysco warehouse management system (SWMS)
• Tag all outgoing pallets to signal loaders that they are ready for loading
• Transfer all dates and relevant information to the warehouse pull sheet
• Obtain market manager approval for short-dated products and notify the warehouse supervisor
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and assist with general cleaning tasks

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 6 months of general warehousing experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Ability to work in both ambient and freezer temperatures
• Ability to read and speak English
