About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical execution of automated warehouse systems, including high-density AS/RS and LGVs
  • Serve as SME for warehouse control systems, automation components, and infrastructure
  • Manage WCS integrations with host systems (D365) and reporting tools like Power BI
  • Oversee PLC, HMI, VFD, and Servo Drive integration and standardization
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain automation documentation including schematics and PLC programs
  • Lead training for operations and maintenance teams on automated equipment and safety features
  • Manage strategic technical projects and automation improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and train Instrumentation & Controls Technicians

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of manufacturing automation experience
  • Proven experience with warehouse automation systems
  • Ability to modify and upgrade PLC logic (Rockwell platform), VFDs, and network switches
  • Proficiency in updating P&ID and electrical/mechanical prints (CAD or SolidWorks preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Technology preferred
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and work at elevations up to 75 feet

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with e80 systems
  • Additional training as an industrial automation technician
  • Knowledge of USDA, State, and Federal regulations for dairy manufacturing
