About the role
Responsibilities
- Pull, check, and verify customer orders for accuracy
- Prepare, pack, and route merchandise for shipment via UPS, FedEx, or truck lines
- Load and unload delivery trucks safely and operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
- Serve as a backup route driver to safely transport and deliver compressed gas cylinders
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Complete required DOT/FDA documentation and track deliveries using handheld technology
- Maintain strong customer relationships and communicate delivery efficiencies to supervisors
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of driving experience
- CDL A or B with HAZMAT endorsement
- Clean MVR driving record
- Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Physical ability to stand/walk on concrete for extended periods and handle cylinders weighing up to 600 lbs
- Ability to meet all physical qualification standards imposed by the DOT
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
