About the role
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders
- Count, verify, receive, and put away incoming vendor material and customer returns
- Load and unload trucks and operate forklift or other material handling equipment
- Verify material against packing slips and enter data into computer systems
- Identify and store special order or damaged material
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety
- Assist teammates in servicing customers at the counter
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience
- Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn forklift operation and material handling equipment
- High level of attention to detail
- Intermediate math skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of plumbing and building products
- Experience with Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, and Outlook
