Waiting Staff - Food and Beverage Assistant

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly, providing a warm welcome and information about events
• Assist guests with menu inquiries and provide informative recommendations
• Take accurate drink orders using the Zonal POS system and handle payments efficiently
• Serve food and beverages according to presentation specifications and hygiene standards
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, function rooms, and service stations throughout the shift
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure high satisfaction levels
• Assist with bar service and banquet support as required

Requirements

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with guests and team members
• Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and transactions
• Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks during peak periods
• Physical ability for manual handling of function room furniture
• Flexibility to work event shifts, which may run from 5 PM to 2 AM

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a bar or hospitality setting
• Knowledge of cocktails and premium beverage offerings
