Waiter

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Rang in setting tables, ensuring impeccable presentation of cutlery, glassware, and crockery
• Serve water, bread, and other accompaniments promptly and attentively
• Deliver dishes from the kitchen to the dining room, ensuring correct presentation and temperature
• Clear plates, glasses, and cutlery from tables during service to maintain a clean dining area
• Replenish service stations with necessary supplies like clean linen, crockery, and condiments
• Assist in efficient table resetting for new guests according to standards
• Polish cutlery and glassware to ensure an immaculate appearance
• Learn and understand menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
• Respond to basic guest requests and escalate complex inquiries to the Chef de Rang
• Collaborate with all front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting (fine dining experience is a plus)
• Strong desire to learn and develop a career in high-end food and beverage service
• Excellent work ethic and a proactive "can-do" attitude
• Ability to work efficiently and precisely in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Good communication skills with a polite and professional demeanor
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays
• Attention to detail regarding cleanliness and organization
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
• Impeccable personal presentation and adherence to grooming standards
